Stress 8 - Relieving Stress With Exercise


Do you want to look and feel better? If so, put more exercise in your schedule. One of the major benefits of exercise is that it keeps your body healthy, and it provides a great stress relief. Another significant benefit is that it helps you to lose weight, tone your body, and maintain a healthy glow. Exercise has been found to decrease stress hormones and increase endorphins, which makes your body feels good. Some exercises you may want to consider are walking, swimming, and tennis to release the body tensions, and relieve the stress. Many people make it a daily exercise routine to walk several miles a day. An exercise regiment should be included in your plan to become more healthy or physically attractive. For this and other reasons, you should include some form of exercise as a stress management tool.

During the summer, you can exercise by swimming. Often you can find a pool to swim a few laps after work. Swimming helps to release tensions in the body making it easier to manage the daily stressors. During the winter season, you can exercise by skiing. There are social clubs that sponsored skiing trips every winter. You should try to take advantage of low-rate weekend ski trips when they are offered. Skiing helps to keep the body toned and in good physical shape, as well as to manage the stress. It is recommended that you do some form of exercise at home or work a few days each week because it is a very important means of relieving stress.

Many organizations help their employees with stress reduction by providing a "physical fitness program" to participate in on their lunch hour. The employees may join the physical fitness program free of charge, or by paying a yearly membership fee. The advantage of exercising at work is that it allows you to save time and money, as opposed to going to a gym or health spa after work.
