In Florida real estate, the summer months represent the peak buying season for Florida homes. During this season, thousands of new and existing homes are sold in Florida.
However, in the summer season, all the Floridians keep a watchful eye on the weather as this is the season of Hurricanes.
This Atlantic hurricane season runs from May to November every year. The peak of hurricane season falls at the end of September.
During this season, it is very essential to remain on guard and be prepared for severe weather to ensure safety and minimal loss of life and property.

The local grocery retailers should begin to stock the Hurricane Preparedness guides at the start of the season. These guides are provided by the National Hurricane Center and provide useful information like what supplies to keep on hand to evacuation routs, emergency numbers, shelter locations, etc.
As an essential part of hurricane planning for the Florida residents, purchasing a generator, having an emergency plan in place, and stocking up on the correct supplies should be planned beforehand.
In order to offer protection to the houses, hurricane shutters are installed professionally or made manually using plywood. Sandbags are used to help with this.
