Five Steps How To Deal With Panic Attacks! - Panic Attack Home Remedies
The panic and anxiety attacks are scary. Once you experienced the first one, you are always worried that the next one is going to happen soon. I know, I was in your shoes too! There are five steps I personally take to deal with my panic attacks!
The first one is to avoid coffee and sugary food. One of the biggest increases of panic attacks happen to me, when ever I am drinking coffee. I have replaced my coffee intake and replaced it with natural teas for panic attacks. One brand I found works for me is Java and on the box it says Anxiety. If you smoke, you should reduce or stop! Nicotine can be a huge trigger to your panic attacks!
The second is to talk to my family and friends when I am dealing with personal issues especially if I feel an attack is about to happen. I often say it is not stress but distress that causes anxiety and panic attacks. Doctors may argue with me, but when I researched ways to help myself, it seemed that the reason most people had a problem in the first place was because of some traumatic event.
You have to learn some relaxation techniques! This is very important. Such as simple breathing exercises can really help you as well. The one of the simplest once I use is to either sit or lay down. I inhale slowly and tell my self, "I am", than I exhale and say "relaxed". Do this at least 10 times and you will be surprised at the result!
Exercise if you can. I have a disability so I cannot run or walk fast, but I lift weights instead. When you exercise, your body pumps out a lot of negative energy and stress. In addition, it helps you think clearly as well. Often times if I am dealing with a problem, during my exercise I will think of a few solutions for that problem.
And your mind is the problem by itself. When you have your first panic attack, it is such a scary experience, that from than on, you always fear it is going to happen again. So the problem is really is in your mind. Even though all the steps I outlined above, will help you reduce the number of anxieties, you will still get some every once in a while. What you need to learn is how to deal with anxiety and panic attacks when they happen. That is how you can get rid of the problem forever!
My anxiety attacks were hurting my lifestyle a lot! I went from a fun guy to be around, to a person who just wanted to be left alone. With home remedies and one guide to change my mind set, I was able to go back to being who I used to be!
