Email Marketing - How to Organize Your Email Campaign IV


And to do that better, you have to have a goal, you have to know what that goal is, and make sure that every email you write brings your readers closer to that goal, no matter what it is.

So how do you organize your email campaign?

Here is what I like to do. I like to send my list members, my subscribers, a lot of very useful content. I like to send them very useful information and tools they can use online. I like to give my readers and subscribers the opportunity to interact with me. I like to ask questions, and then I like to respond to my readers. And of course, I like to funnel people towards the products that will help them grow their business. And of course when they pay me for those products, they are growing my business.

I really believe in the concept that when you give you are setting up a long-term reciprocal transaction. I believe that if you give something to someone, that they perhaps feel not only gratefulness, but they feel as though they want to give back.

Of course, the only two ways you can really give back to me is to buy my products, which is actually a very selfish thing on your part anyway, since you are going to learn more of my secrets by doing that, or by sending me a thank you note telling me how much you have learned.

So when I am giving away my secrets in the form of content emails, when I am giving away free ebooks and tools, what am I really doing? I am creating a long-term debt and the people on my list or inclined to fulfill that debt by creating another by buying one of my books and learning even more information that can help them in their business.

I think that sometimes people dont want to give away their knowledge for free. They want their readers to pay for everything. But I think they are wrong. How are people going to know that you know what you are talking about if you do not give them information?

And if you dont know enough stuff to write one email a day for a year and give your readers new stuff, you probably dont know enough to really be writing a book and positioning yourself as an expert anyway.

Think about that. If you are afraid that you are giving away all your stuff when you write your emails, you need some new stuff. That is the bottom line. Go learn some more. Go do some more. Create new stuff!
