Email Marketing - 5 Tips to Skyrocket Your Subscriber Loyalty


It is one thing to build a huge list and another thing completely to get those subscribers to loyally open your emails everyday and click thru to your links and actually buy from you.

You must offer phenomenal reasons to open your emails. This occurs over time, and has nothing to do with headlines. Your subscribers must learn from experience that, no matter the headline, they will receive great value from your emails, and that no email will ever be a disappointment. Heres how I do it:

1) I regularly send my subscribers a 100% free gift that has absolutely no strings attached. You may think that this is a waste of a mailing, especially if you do not include any one time offer or other monetization, but it is actually a phenomenal loyalty booster. This helps ensure that future emails are opened and clicked thru, which yields a far higher return long run than an extra sale or two today.

2) I always send great content. I try to avoid sending my subscribers run-of-the-mill information, just to get them to click an affiliate link. It is not worth it. My subscribers buy a lot from me, and I think one of the reasons is that they trust my information. Do not send fluff in your emails. If you do not have useful information to send , just dont mail.

3) I create rapport with my subscribers by asking survey questions and then answering those questions in future emails. This does a few things for you: a) it helps you know exactly what products to create or become an affiliate for, because now you know your subscribers needs. b) your subscribers love it when you are willing to answer their questions without charging them (via a book sale, e.g.). c) when other subscribers read your answers, they see that you have an active mailing list that participates with each other, which creates an additional feeling of loyalty, which aids you tremendously when you send out a promotion email.

4) I try to answer every email that someone sends me. Either via a group email, or personally if I think the answer does not offer mass appeal.

5) I over deliver. Many times on my download pages I will include additional bonus products that I have not even advertised.

For each one of these techniques that you adopt, you should notice an increase in your long term open rates and click thru rates.
